Walk (in Braille)
2006
Intervention
Using Braille, the language of touch, the act of walking transforms into a public visual of an unknown, impermanent message. I placed handfuls of red clay onto a crosswalk, spelling the word, “walk.” The bright colored piles not only mark my action, but also have the potential to record the steps of those who pass through the space.
